Key Account Manager - Sales

We are looking for an ambitious new colleague to join our sales team in Denmark, from where we focus mainly on the European and Middle Eastern markets. 

As our Key Account Manager you will be responsible for the sales of our products:  cylinder lubrication systems for 2-stroke marine diesel engines. 
Our customers include ship owning companies, technical management companies and engine makers. Our usual point of contact is technical directors, technical managers, Superintendents and Chief Procurement Officers.
The job
You will be responsible for driving our sales and reaching our goals according to a geographic segmentation. 
Amongst your tasks are strategic and key account management, sales force effectiveness and pipeline management across your sales areas.
The key to your success is to possess strong sales competences and a pragmatic mindset, keep a clear focus on the main objective and have the ability to understand the customer’s situation and needs and having a strong ability to close a deal.
Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager:
      •     Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts/areas.
      •     Meets assigned expectations for profitability. 
      •     Achieves  strategic  customer  objectives  defined   by company
      •     Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
      •     Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant departments.
As Key Account Manager you shall expect a yearly travel
activity of around 70 working days.
About you
We are looking for a colleague driven by creating a sale
from the initial talks with the customer, through technical
presentations and commercial negotiations to the final result: a contract.
You are an experienced sales manager - preferred with experience from project sales in an international environment.
Your experience may be combined with an educational background such as Marine Engineer or other technical skills or a commercial education - however your educational background is not the deciding factor but you must have a flair and understanding of both technical and commercial sales.
Key characteristics about you:
      •     Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales.
      •     Strong account management skills.
      •     Strong relationship builder.
      •     Highly self-motivated.
      •     Strongly result oriented and high discipline 
You are experienced in using Microsoft Office.
You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
