Super slow steaming

Super slow steaming is gaining ground among many shipowners around the globe. Partly to reduce CO2, and partly to save costs for fuel.

 

Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S have for some time developed and sold products, which make super slow steaming possible. However, not only products, which make super slow steaming possible, but also products, which are capable of reducing costs for cylinder lubrication further. An unintended consequence of super slow steaming is often, that it will result in over lubrication of the cylinders, which damages the liners, piston rings etc. Hans Jensen’s solution makes slow steaming possible without over lubrication.
